I have been eagerly watching the markets over the past month or so and I have been analysing my trades from Part 1.
Two key mistakes I made in the last round were; firstly trying to hedge my portfolio with Index shorts (and stock shorts) and secondly, adjusting my stop losses way too much. I was playing with a strategy where I adjusted my stop loss closer and closer to my break even point as the price moved up but with a slight correction, I was sold out. I back tested my trades and worked out that I would have been a lot better off without adjusting my stop losses so much. I looked at what I had done in Round 1 and I pretty much left the stops alone until I had reached my target price.
So I have again allocated £45k for bets and spent a total of £44,877.94.
I have 18 bets, all long bets. I am no longer going to bet against the rising tide !
Great start to Part 2 - up £395 so far.
